What do you remember about your integration into the Group ?

After my final training placement at Retiers (Ille-et-Vilaine) I got a job as Quality Assurance Manager at the Vimoutiers site. I have very good memories of my arrival : I was welcomed by the Factory Director who spent some time giving me an overview of the Group's culture, told me about the site and explained my tasks and goals. The induction day at Laval gave me an idea of the extent of the Group's activities and the diversity of its range of products and jobs. I then went on various training programmes, including 5S, an intensive Lactalis training cycle, technical placements etc.

You are now Laboratory and Quality Manager on this site, what are your assignments ?

On the Laboratory side I manage a team of 6 colleagues, organise and plan the department's activities and also monitor and validate its results. On the Quality side I am responsible for quality management on the site and here I work with sixty people, mainly in Maintenance and Manufacture.

Which skills have you developed through your position ?

At first, the skills I learnt were purely technical. It was essential to understand and be familiar with the plant, the equipment and the constraints and requirements linked to the products and the work environment. The organisation and communication skills came later. I still want to further develop my skills in management and administration.

Could you describe your Lactalis career path to us ?

I spent two training placements at the Retiers site during my postgraduate studies at IESIEL (Higher Studies Institute for Dairy Industry Science and Economics). I then joined the Group as Quality Assurance Manager at the Vimoutiers (Orne) site for a year. After I joined the Manufacturing team as Deputy Manufacturing Manager for two years and Laboratory and Quality Manager since September.
My goal is to continue to evolve within the Group : the opportunities are endless, both in terms of products and jobs. This multidisciplinary nature is a strength that enables us to develop our versatility and skills on a daily basis.
