Assistant Training Manager  

 

 
 

How did your integration into the Lactalis Group go ?

I joined the Lactalis Group a few months ago, as Assistant Training Manager. I am fascinated by the agro-food industry and share the Group's values, so when the opportunity presented itself, I naturally seized it with both hands. It gives me the opportunity to build on my knowledge of recruitment to jobs in the food industry.
Upon my arrival, with the support of my manager, I followed an entire programme of induction. It began with an 'welcoming day' at headquarters, followed by several periods of time spent on different sites, which enabled me to find out about all the various roles in the manufacturing sphere.

 

 

What are your main daily assignments ?

My role is a cross-cutting one : I work with Managers and people in charge of Human Resources from the entire Group, from all divisions.
I have very close links, both with the plants and externally, because I am responsible for recruiting final year placement students, as well as staff for areas such as production engineering, quality, maintenance, safety etc.
I am also in charge of developing relations with schools and long-term I will be given responsibility for some training.

 

 

Which qualities do you think a person in your position needs ?

For me straightforwardness, listening and analytical skills, diligence and organisation are the main qualities that a person needs to feel fulfilled and do a good job.

 

 

How do you see your future as part of the Group ?

My ambition is to be a Human Resources Manager within 2 years. My early factory experience allied to the development of my skills as a trainer and the support of the Group should enable me to attain this objective reasonably quickly. The future looks bright.
